The Solicitor General of Canada, the Honourable Andy Scott, has asked me to respond to your electronic mail message of November 8, 1997, regarding Mr. Jones William Ignace.

The provisions of the Privacy Act prevent me from discussing any aspects of Mr. Ignace's case with you without his prior written consent. However, rest assured that officials of the Correctional Service of Canada are fully aware of Mr. Ignace's concerns and needs, and are managing his case accordingly.
